OnePlus 8 Pro full review- Is this the best?

OnePlus launch their latest flagship phone OnePlus 8 Pro at April 2020. It’s a great phone and also good value for money phone. This is the 3rd flagship phone from OnePlus and this time they made a proper flagship phone. They bring a big change compared to their last year’s flagship phone OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7T pro. Today we are going to discuss its good and worse side.

Display:

OnePlus 8 Pro used QHD+ (1440 x 3168 pixels) AMOLED display which with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch-sensing. It is 6.78 inches and almost 91% screen-to-body ratio. It has 513 PPI density brightness. So, no problem with outdoor visibility. Also, OnePlus 8 Pro’s display gets A+ score from DisplayMate. It supports HDR10+ and it has 1B colours. Its display is the best display compare to any flagship mobile which is currently available in the market.

Body:

OnePlus 8 pro has Gorilla glass 5 protection both in front and back with aluminium frame. This time OnePlus brings official IP68 water and dust resistance for the first time. It has two nano sim slots but no expandable storage options. It’s 8.5mm thickness and the weight is only 199g. It has optical under-display fingerprint which is superbly fast. Also, there is face unlocking options which is not as secure as fingerprint due to not present of any 3D face recognition sensor.

Performance:

From the beginning, OnePlus is mostly known for its performance and this time, no different from that. OnePlus used Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 (7 nm+), which is the best chipset currently available in the market. It used Adreno 650 as a GPU. So, no issue about OnePlus 8 Pro’s performance. OnePlus 8 Pro is running in Android 10 based OxygenOS 10.0 which is very fast, fluid and feature-rich.

Camera:

Though OnePlus never compromise on their phone’s performance from the beginning they are slightly compromising their phone’s camera. With OnePlus 8 Pro they have changed the game. OnePlus 8 Pro have quad-camera setup which is 48MP f/1.7 IMX689 (customized sensor) main camera + 8MP f/2.2 3x telephoto camera + 48MP f/2.2 IMX586 ultrawide camera + color filter camera. It can capture great images. Also, its night mode is great and dynamic range is really awesome. It used 16MP f/2.5 which is also can capture good quality images.

Battery:

OnePlus 8 Pro has 4510 mAh non-removable battery with 30W fast charge. It also supports 30W fast wireless charging and 3W reverse wireless charging, which is the first time included in any OnePlus phone. The battery backup is good. Also, the 30W fast charger takes less than 80 minutes to charge the battery zero to hundred per cent.
